Not a Gen game but Panic is my favorite game for the SCD, and it was given a f- by the VGC.

I don't know how many people consider them mediocre, but Light Crusader and Forgotten Worlds are not often looked at as top-tier Genesis games. The latter is excellent though.
I've been playing Light Crusader alot lately. It's a great game and I love the homage Treasure did to western PC RPGs in its aesthetic design.
I want to add Wardner along side GA3. Wardner is a great example of an early masocore game. It's difficulty is brutal, but the liberal continues, lives and check points make it entirely playable.
Doom on 32X. Of course it's crap compared to the PC version but when I was a kid without a PC it was awesome and is still fun to fire up once in a while.
I love X-men 2 Clone Wars, but not everybody does. I love the action, variety of characters, and the music. When I was a kid getting to play as Magneto was very exciting!
Sewer Shark and Awesome Possum. played them like crazy
I always wondered why people complains so much about Pit Fighter until I played the snes version.
While the MD port is beatable and OK for a fighting game that was released before SF2, the other is a complete mess of poor hit detection and with unfair energy for the player. The arcade original is in a half way between the two but at least gives the option to 3 players against the CPU.
I never understood the flak Golden Axe 3 gets. The biggest number of playable characters, alternate routes, cool combat system with quite a few moves, coop moves, solid controls, nice sound, the best graphics of the trilogy, what's not to like? I love Golden Axe 3.
Now I do understand why people hate Eternal Champions, but I think the good outweighs the bad.
I like Dahna quite a bit!!!I am also a huge fan of Bari-Arm...I know many like this game so it is no way seen as a mediocre game but this game is such a gem, I always think it remains one of the most underrated shooting game of the 16bits era and that no one but me fully appreciate it![]()
Pink Goes to Hollywood.
Jurassic Park (not RE) doesn't seem to get that much amount of love either, but I don't think it's generally considered bad or mediocre...
