I guess they'll just have to revise the definition of 'overweight'.

Well, "American McGee's Alice" was rather depressing.

But the game was supposed to be that way.

    18, a 240lb boxer/landscaper, and couldn't be happier... unless I got a free copy of Radiant Silvergun.

Just remember to duck down when the Fox News ship comes to harbor, that's when the bullets will start to fly!

No but seriously, its just an inconclusive poll done in one small subset of the country and doesn't go into any further detail as to what kind of games are being played. Playing WoW and being a console gamer are two completely different things IMO.

The government should stop wasting our tax dollars on stupid studies and polls like these. No wonder the economy sucks.

I wonder what a poll of where the government puts our tax dollars would look like?

I agree that WoW players are a different breed and should not be thrown into the same poll about gaming as your average console gamer. I live in Indiana which is truly the land of disgruntled, overweight, poorly mannered, ignorant, lazy SUV driving, OCD lawn mowing, evil pig people.

I consider myself a reasonably hardcore gamer, but I have very little in common with the stereo type HCG. My car crapped out on me a long time ago and I began riding my mountain bike everywhere instead of getting it fixed. I ride 40 miles a day, three or four times a week, as well as swimming for hours on sunny days, going for runs, playing street B-ball, and skating at the skate park. Overall this summer has been great for me as I feel healthier than I have in years. I still go out and pound booze and get high, but to a lesser degree than I used to. I figure I'm at the age where If I don't make an effort to stay healthy that it won't get any easier as I approach my thirties. I know a lot of people in their thirties who get kinda out of shape and begin to regret it.

Well, if I lived in a city where there was nothing to do but sit in the house and watch it rain all the damn time, I would probably be 35, overweight, depressed, and playing video games too.
