Shin Shinobi Den / Shinobi X / Shinobi Legends definitely. Like milkymagic said, this game is really underrated. It plays a bit differently than the rest of the series (there's a separate button for the sword, for instance), but it's still a lot of fun. It's worth it for the hilarious live-action cut scenes alone, in my opinion.

I must put Skeleton Warriors on this list. It was based off of a really bad 90s show of the same name. The game is done in a Rastan style with pre-rendered sprites for the characters and hardware 3D backgrounds. Not a bad game at all, also there is a flying speedbike stage or two.

As for imports there was a pinball game called Fantastic Flipper/Fantastic Pinball. It was pretty good and had very good pinball sounds.

I have Shinobi Legends (I'm guess it's all the same game that your talking about?) It's great! It's where games should have gone. 3D sucks!! High Res / High Framerate / 2D!!! Great Combo!

Love this game too! But it's freaking HARD!

Sonic R seems to be overlooked quite often, it was another late release for the Saturn. The game absolutely rocks. The graphics are excellent, the control leaves a little to be desired but the level design is worth it. You spend a lot of time racing the same track over and over trying to get all of the secrets unlocked, but I enjoyed exploring the detailed levels. I also loved the music, but your mileage may vary

I love Sonic R too, there's really only two flaws. One is the controls are slippery, but they can be gotten used to. The other is that there's only 5 tracks in the game. It's a real shame too, because the tracks are fantastic. There's plenty of different paths and a lot to explore and unlock. By far my favorite Sonic racing game. It just embodies the whole Sonic feel.

Despite Sonic R's numerous flaws the game is better than every 3D Sonic game released save for the SA series.

Just noticed some talk about Sonic R, only pick it up if you find it cheap, I completed that game literally a few hours after I got home from buying it, even searching the levels for all the bits and pieces can be done in maybe a day or two and the multiplayer mode is really ridiculously bad, it actually has the shortest longevity of any commercial game I recollect playing.

Lot of fun whilst it lasted though.

+1 for Soukyugurentai. Best shmup on the Saturn, IMO.

No one ever mentioned it's not just 3D.... It's VOXELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's on DOS Too. Really cool balance of Voxels, polygonal models, and scaled sprites/bitmaps. Either they did a TON of software rendering or took advantage of the Saturn's quads to build the voxels. (that's the kind of game that the Jaguar would excel at: limited amount of polygons, unconventional rasterization, and plenty of scaled 2D: the unreleased Phase Zero actually looks a LOT better than contemporary voxel based games- too bad developers didn't focust primarily on that for 3D on the Jag over polygons, imagine if the entire landscape in Cybermorph was voxel rendered)

If you couldn't tell, I think voxels are neat.
