They held production until september 15 for PC release. They are adding PhysX to the game and footage of it looks pretty good using PhysX (added fog that moves as you move through it, flags that shot and affected, other small things)

I'm just wondering if you would get better performance out of 2 sticks at 1066 rather than 4 at 800? Once again you may need it or have specific RAM heavy applications. Just wondering if you've perhaps tried both configurations.

But anyways love your system. I only wish the Phenom II's were out when I built my rig. I'm an AMD fan at heart but at the time I went with the popular Intel E8400 as the Phenoms were kinda well... you know... crap!

Then of course a few months later they announce the PII! D'oh! But I'm so glad they are building the best (IMHO anyway) mainstream CPU's now!

Oh yeah and Windows 7 64-bit is great. I've been using it for awhile now and its been wonderful. Even with older programs and games its just been perfect! I also can't wait to buy my own copy!
I built this system back at the begining of the year and kinda wish I waited, while its a great system the motherboard kinda dissapoints me (ASUS M3A78-T). Some people have had luck running 8GB @ 1066, I on the otherhand can't get the board to run 1066 for crap with 8GB, I can't even get a decent overclock out of the board either. 4GB kit will run 1066 just fine. The ram does have higher timing @1066 (6-6-6-18) and 800 is (5-5-5-15). So not the greatest but It was just to cheap to pass at the time, like $40 bucks each kit.

There has been like 7 Bios releases since I've tried any overclocking and may now get more out of the motherboard, but I pretty much gave up and would rather look at a new motherboard if I needed more then stock, I have no need for E-penis like that though when everything runs great stock.

Usually it goes, higher the frequency the looser the latency (higher timings), or lower frequency tighter the latency are the trade offs for most systems. I've read alot of publishings about it and it seems like at best I might be loosing milliseconds when it comes to large tasks (video encoding and crap).

I barely use 4GB at most times but like I said, ram was cheap, trade offs were worth it, I'd rather have the ram available than one day needing it.

Ah yeah I'm not big on overclocking. Hell I have a P45 and E8400 so there is at least extra 1GHZ just sitting there waiting for me (I've even got from 3.0 to 3.6GHZ on stock voltage and they say 4.1-4.3 is possible on air) but I still don't bother. Just don't see the point really the thing has enough power for me at stock settings!

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but the original Sunsoft Batman game for the Genesis as well as the driving scenes from Batman Returns for the Sega CD are both many times better than this game. In fact, this game seems very average to me. Very typically plain of this generation. Nothing special. I didn't even bother finishing the demo as I lost interest.

The demo wasnt anything special. I've been very critical of the games this gen and I can tell you, this is one of the games that makes me glad I have a next gen console. I had very little interest in this game. The demo was okay, again, nothing special. I saw the great reviews and decided to buy it. It sat unopened for 4 days, once again, because I was still trying to convince myself to play it and not return it.

This past weekend, I popped it in, and WOW.....the voice acting is incredible, the graphics are crazy good, the story is great so far, and this is a top notch production. I was really impressed with the scarecrow level. With a good surround sound system, that level was freaky.

I couldnt recommend this game enough....Its awesome.

I have to respectfully disagree. This game is way better then any of the 16 bit Batman games and I almost always prefer older games to newer ones. I didn't play the demo so I'm not sure what it contained but I highly recommend giving the fully game a shot.

The demo was Batman putting the Joker into the asylum and then everything IMMEDIATELY goes wrong. Some random guy tries a guard to a chair and you have to sneak up from behind him. You have to use "detective mode". I did not like that mode. It was just boring. Too many buttons doing too many different things. I really hated the action. I did not like the artificial slow down. Why is there bullet-time in a Batman game?

Also, the game seems to be based entirely inside the asylum, hence the name. Sounds boring. Is that incorrect?

I've been playing this game for the last three days (PS3, not 360), and I think it's brilliant. It feels like a cross, stick with me here, between Metroid (large map with areas unaccessible until gaining the proper weapon/item, use of scan to revel hidden items, etc...), Resident Evil 4 (POV, atmosphere, polish), and Splinter Cell (stealth gameplay). Add to all that the Batman license, and the game is a dream come true.

Best of all is how well represented Batman is in the game. He's a detective, strikes fear into the hearts of others, and well versed in combat. And the voice acting is superb. Growing up, I was a huge fan of Batman the animated series. While I've enjoyed other versions of the characters, Kevin Conroy IS Batman for me and Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill IS the Joker. Just awesome. Other than Super Mario Galaxy, this may be my favorite game of this generation.

ahhh, No wonder it was delayed. Thanks for the info.

I heard that the game is very short which is one of my big video game pet peeves. I want a game to be full lengthed in the storymode. I want it to be a fulfilling experience. It doesn't have to be RPG long but it has to be long enough that when I do get to the final Boss I don't say to my self "That's it?".

I also heard that you can exploit numerous holes in the AI development. I heard that you can get through every single in game predator mode by knocking a guy unconscious in a loud way so the other bad guys come running over and then when they are all standing over the one guys body you can just detonate some plastic explosives.

I'm going to buy it sooner or later but at this point in time I don't think its worth the cash. Maybe when it goes down $10-20 dollars I will pick it up.

There's been multiple laugh out loud moments. Again, Mark Hamill did an amazing job The ONLY thing that I don't like about the game is that its triggered the "obsessive compulsive" bone in my body where I feel the need to throw detective mode on everywhere. What if I miss a destructible wall?!
