Yep, I'd say you're officially in the Gallery now.
It's not the fact it was my iPhone, or the iPhone in general, it was the complete unnecessary nature of it. IMO, it was like me walking up to you and saying "GOD DAMN YOUR CAR SUCKS BALLS!" when I had only met you like once or twice. Not that I really care what you think of my car, but just like "WTF? where did that come from? did my car murder your family?"

This is bullshit by the way. I agree that a lot of mainstream music is "safe" and therefore uninteresting, but to say that music turns to crap as soon as it becomes popular is just ridiculous. For example, I'm not the biggest Green Day fan, but I can look at you with a straight face and say "there music hasn't changed a whole lot in the 20 years they've been together." People get angry with the bands they love when they're no longer a secret.
Some music is mainstream simply because it's amazing. Are you going to tell me the Beatles are shit because so many people like them? Get real.
I will never deny the first 3 Green Day albums were great. Their shittiness has nothing to do with others liking them, they just aren't that good. Lots of people are taking a liking to Dinosaur Jr. all of a sudden, but that's not going to stop them from being one of my favorite if not my favorite bands, and alot of it is because I know those dudes care about nothing but making good music.
The Beatles were from a different era, I would argue the Beatles were one of the first bands to become hyper rich off of a music career, therefore they started with somewhat pure intentions of just making music. Also, once they became rich, that didn't become an excuse to cop out and crap out an album in a day because they knew it would sell. Yellow Submarine (movie) was completely unnecessary from a financial and popularity standpoint, but they still had the initiative to make it because they were true artists and saw it as a worthwhile project. I actually like most of the Beatles just as people as well, watching them in interviews and such you can tell they don't give two fucks about what people think or like, they slapped the fake, family friendly world right in the face and said "we're not going to do that." There's an interview on youtube where one of them openly admits to using drugs and he's basically "I'm not going to lie about it, I do (did?) them." When you're real, you get my respect.
When I say "popular bands," I mean like if you wear a Good Charlotte or Avril Lavigne shirt around, you are a douche monkey. If the band on the shirt you're wearing is genuinely talented, I'm cool with it. Still, you should be able to name some lesser known bands that play music you like, if you just name the Beatles because everyone else does, you're a douche.
I'll give them credit if they wear the shirt and actually like the group, because, there are far too many individuals who buy shirts for bands they don't even listen to.
However...
To see someone wearing a shirt from either of those two "bands" is so bad, laughing at them is a complete waste of a laugh.
Shouldn't the peanut gallery just turn off their cell phones and shut up so we can talk?![]()
