As a sister companion to the thread over at the Genny board, I thought (and I am, and soon I will) that I'd make this thread so we could share and reminisce our favorite (and least favorite) coin-op BGM's/OSTs or otherwise comment on what's currently playing (in your playlist, IPod, in your noggin) and recommend some games which you think have good muzak.
As I grew older, and came to realize that many of the Genesis games I played throughout my childhood were originally coin-ops, I became more and more fascinated with Sega's 2D coin-ops of the '80's and early '90's. As I play more and more them to this day, I'm still amazed by what I see, despite their age. I lieks teh scaling and rotation, lololol. More importantly, I'm amazed by what I hear. Often because the Genesis' renditions of some of these coin-op soundtracks are strikingly close (such as "Golden Axe" and "Afterburner II"), but more because of the great, synthy compositions of these games.
