Default Dragon Quest 6. New trailer.

Another reason the Nintendo DS is the best piece of hardware for gaming this generation.

I hope it gets localized quickly.

I will be definitely buying this one. I beat DQ4 two weeks ago and I just started DQ5.

I'm probably the only one left by now, but i wish they'd release those classic rpg's on consoles as well.
Playing them on a handheld just doesn't give me the same feeling.

    I miss the Snes days.

The touchscreen nature of the DS, and the controller layout kind of kills any hope for a "Gameboy Player" type adaptor for the Wii in any practical sense, otherwise it would be awesome to keep the single system formula as it is now.

However, Square-Enix released a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles title on both the Wii & DS with cross-platform capabilites and this has lead me to wonder why they don't do it for everything. Including a registration discount for buying the second version or something similar like a rebate coupon in the box.

I would say that the DS has the only well rounded software library of any current hardware, and is the only one to exceed the SNES as far as 'Good' RPG's are concerned, or at least it's the best to instill that same feeling for the genre. The PSP is a good second choice in that regard, & includes a TV-Out function for a more console-like experience.

Either way, RPGs on consoles specifically are dogshit these days.
