I always thought the music in Eliminate Down sounded kind of poor. A good shooter needs at least adequate music.

it did i bit, like its trying to reach the same core as TF4,which it doesnt reach. The music is kind of hard and distorded metal but in a very simple way offcourse youlle hera the heavy metal parts but the drum is not what its supposed to sound like etc,the music is like only fast paced.I like the music a bit.
Actually, I like Genesis/MD After Burner II because it was the first console version to duplicate the gameplay of the arcade version. Sure the background graphics were lacking, but at least the game runs fast and smooth, and the sprite scaling is pretty good.
Well it's not exactly memorable, but at least the sounds aren't hard on the ears like they can be in aleste or fireshark. Personally I don't think the game needs a good soundtrack, it still rocks.
Bit treu,The music is just the topping, aint that right. You already het a neat game, plus yes without worying about bleeps, like the extra adrenaline packed with the game instead of separate.Normally i just tune on music, like some Heavy metal stuff. But with the likes of TF 4 you dont have to bother doing that, the game it self rocks hard, like fire shark, which sound a bitsy too sharp somethimes,Probably cant be blamed since when it was released.Musha pushes you trough the game with or without music, the music is just a extra adrenaline push(it supposed to be).thats it music isnt neccesairly a must in a game but it just spices the game a bit more for the wannahaves.
ahhh Granada, one of the uglyest games i ever played on a 16bit console, stategie, funfactor, etc.all blown away by its NES alike graphics,it looks so damn ugly.
Thunder force 4,Fucking powns ever schmup exept for Radiant silvergun, never heard a schmup with such deep music,And that for a game that came in 92,megadrive owns thunder force 4 and thunderforce 4 does the rest by owning every 16 bit system.hehehe
oke hard sead Elimination down had shitty music.
ewn anyone intrested in the toppic?.

I find one thing particulary annoying with Thunder Force IV (as well as with Gunstar Heroes): The sound effects are too LOUD! They are so loud you can't enjoy the great music, which is really "mixed" down.

Hey that game rocks!! Well that's true for the graphics part, but I don't think it makes it unplayable at all. I quite enjoy playing that game actually. It looks like Thunder Force II Top down view levels but with the ability to stop your vehicle and strafe. The gameplay is ok and the levels are quite varied.Originally Posted by ary incorparated
If you wanted an example of a game that would've sucked without the music, it's probably true with this one. The ugly graphics are saved by it's kick-ass music. Synthetized speed metal a la TF IV and MUSHA. Pay attention to the soundtrack it is really one of my favorites on the Genesis.
GRANADA RULES!

Anyways, I'd say my favorite shooters on the Genesis/Megadrive would be MUSHA followed by the Thunder Force series.
