Yes I just got mine today and I feel like such a sucker for buying 2 of these.
Just a few years ago Sega was still able to make those quality USB pads sold in Japan. Not anymore.

These are not official Sega pads, they are Chinese knockoffs with a PlaySega logo on the front.

They have a HL-F2412 model number on the back, that model can be found here

The d-pad feels loose. The shoulder buttons feel loose, and are sunk in compared to official pads.

    Sega I trusted you

I know I've mentioned it before but, as a 'Google' enthusiast, I can't help but wonder how awesome it would be if they absorbed 'Sega' and shifted the brand to front end a cloud-device & a specialty section the Android marketplace.

They have the bandwidth to be the dominant powerhouse if the 'Cloud Gaming' concept truly takes off. They already have the balls to piss on Microsoft in any market without consequence. They already absorb profitless companies all the time.

It's a mind-fuck solution to potential advertising growth on their part, & Sega's revival.

This idea is in line with their pressure to shift everything to the cloud. Is there any 'major downside' to such a merger when not strictly enforcing gaming standards as we perceive them today?

actualy more people are perchasing ps3 then 360. 360 is only a head in sales becouse of the hear early thing or people buying multi consoles becouse there 360 brakes. When i comes to witch console is more liked id rather see accurate number of how many consoles people own vs the number sold.

I actually have some seriously top secret images of SEGA's new console prototype taken while visiting SEGA Europe's UK offices last month:

They even opened it up to show me the new custom CPU code named 'loaf'...

actually. total sales worldwide PS3 is in 3rd place by 4 million units behind 360. 360 is in 2nd place, and Wii is 1st by 10 million.

and if you follow NPD month-to-month sales Xbox 360 has been in 1st place, Wii is in 2nd place, PS3 in 3rd. Keep in mind North America is a major key market to be leading in, it had been Sony's bread and butter for 2 previous generations.

Playstation 3 has at least 32Million consoles shipped. Not sure where you are getting those numbers from but they sound about 2 years old.

I know very few game genres actually get any gains from. One of those genres that has gains from 3D is FPS'ers.

If SEGA would make a console that can please all forms of gamers, old school, casual, and hard core FPS'ers. The biggest problem with something like that is the controller. The best controller for the old school gamers is easily the Sega Saturn 6 button controller, not the analog one. The best controller for hard core gamers is the playstation layout. 4 buttons on the right, and 4 buttons on the top. With two analog stick. Then of course the casual gamers would use some fuck of a controller that can detect motion.

Excluding the casual gamer, It would be pretty hard to engineer a controller that works out for both the casual and the hard core gamer.

    .
it seems like it's 2 years old because the console sales really haven't changed that much over the years. PS3 has been 4-5 million behind 360 total, and while PS3 had a few good months for the first time following the slim PS3 launch last year, it's mainly been Wii winning NPD and sometimes 360, now it's mainly 360 leading month to month.
