Thanks a lot for all of the replies. I will definitely look into getting some of these games (hopefully all of them eventually). I really want Bare Knuckle 3 and the Ninja Turtles game. I went looking for games today, and was sad to hear the Trade A Game where I live no longer will be selling Genesis games. All I got left is thrift stores.

That sucks... But be glad you have something left, all I have is mostly foreign ebay, with international shipping costs.

WHAT? people bash it? THAT GAME IS AWESOME! The music is some of the best on the system, it's from the same composer as Midnight Resistance. I think people just don't know about the B+C projectile, that really helps the gameplay out ALOT and makes Captain America go from the worst to possibly the best character. Even better, it's almost arcade perfect. Definitely one of the best arcade port beat em ups on the system.

I know I'll get flak for saying this, but Hyperstone Heist is garbage next to Turtles in Time on SNES. Hyperstone Heist has a weak storyline, boring drawn out levels, a difficulty higher than it should be (it's hell to beat with 1 player), and just kind of drab. On the other hand, Turtles in Time on SNES actually trumps the arcade version with more levels, AMAZING music (the music was ported to the Genesis and definitely lost something in the translation), excellent gameplay that changes up regularly instead of dragging on, and some of the best use of Mode 7 to be seen on the platform (Neon Night Riders level). Take it from someone that owns almost every version of that game imaginable, the SNES version is the best, and that's something I don't say about many games. It's not the Genesis fault, the Genesis version actually has more animation frames and more heated combat, but the SNES exclusivity of Turtles in Time just rips the rug out from under the Genesis. Get Turtles in Time, it's one of the most consistently awesome games on the SNES.

As for other beat em ups, the whole Streets of Rage series is worth noting, Battletoads/Double Dragon is the best version available (and such a fantastic game! very rewarding combat system!), and of course all of the other games people have been mentioning.

Are you serious? Hyperstone Heist is actually pretty easy with one-player. If anything Turtles in Time is harder, and it has sloppier hit detection. Music isn't as good either.

The only thing that kind of sucked about The Hyperstone Heist is that the game is too short and one of the levels is just a boss rehash. It's definitely a great game, no doubt about it.

Agreed. While living in the middle of nowhere, Saskatchewan and battling cancer, I played through Hyperstone Heist several times a week. Mega Drive Turtle Power got me through some tough times.

If the SNES isn't an option (Nintendon't belong in my house!), Hyperstone Heist is a fantastic beat 'em up. Pure arcade bliss.

I got to play both "Turtles in Time" and "Hyperstone", and while "Hyerstone has tighter controls, "Time" is more jawusum.

Time travel > whatever the half-assed story is in "Hyperstone".

The time travel didn't even make any sense in the SNES game since they took out the part in the sewers where Shredder warps you and added that extra boss and extra technodrome level.

Well, any time travel is better than no time travel.

Too bad we never got a decent arcade perfect port.

HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT!? TIME TRAVEL MADE 10^39 TIMES MORE SENSE ON THE SNES GAME!

In the arcade version, shredders head just appears in the sewer and all of a sudden it's "OMGWTFBBQ, I'm in dinosaur world!"

In the SNES version, you fight your way through the technodrome and just as you're about to get shredder, he uses the technodrome time equipment (apparently) and sends you back in time. Now how you actually make the jump from time period to time period is beyond me, I'm assuming it's implied you steal a time travel device from the various bosses. The boss fight right there is also very unique for its time by forcing you to throw the foot soldiers at the screen to hit his mech thingy.

The mode 7 Neon Night Riders blows the arcade version out of the water, and the extra levels in the game are top notch (mostly technodrome, but I think there's another level or two somewhere else in the game). You also get to fight Slash instead of that stupid sand monster in the arcade version. The scenery changes frequently and the music is better than the Genesis version, I'm sorry. I don't know how you get it's harder either, IIRC I can beat it with maybe 1 continue in under 30 minutes by myself. This could be because I just don't know the Hyperstone boss patterns as well, but still. Turtles in Time is like the best game on the SNES, to deny it's the best version is unbelievable to me.

Absolutely. Have you tried golden axe yet? Battle toads?

How's Alien Storm? I plan on getting Sonic's Ultimate Gen Collection on PS3 so I'm not sure if it's worth having on Gen as well.

I've had fun with Two Crude Dudes (Crude Buster).
