Default Metal Slug Anthology PSP - Amazon deal of the day. $8.98 Worth it?

Is this version of the game any good? It's 40% off.

I'm in Canada, and after attempting to place a few orders through Amazon's main site, I've stumbled by that for cheap.

Coincidentally, It sucks that half of the games are sold out or not available through Amazon.ca, and go on sale for dirt cheap on Amazon.com ... yet aren't allowed to be exported. (Square Enix games, I'm looking at you. )

I have it for my PSP and it's not bad. For the price it is there, why not? I paid under $30 Australian for it about 18 months ago I think.

After pushing the order through without committing. International Shipping and Export Fees, bump it out of sale territory, and I wouldn't even hazard a guess how much taxes customs would attach to it in the name of keeping our glorious maple syrup supply, frosty.

Just learning about it from this thread makes me want to get a PSP even more.

I own it for the Wii (picked it up around launch) and love it.

    Thumbs up

I looked up some footage of the game and I think SNK did a great job porting the games to the PSP, I don't see any graphical glitches or hear any sound problems.

The only downside is it looks like you can't play the games in widescreen, but that being said, being able to play metal Slugs 1 trough 6 (?) whenever and wherever the hell you want is pretty damned awesome, go for it!

It does play "widescreen" in that you can play it stretched to fit the PSP screen (and it doesn't look bad).

There are some loading times between levels (and occasionally in levels), but it plays solid and is a lot of fun.

you can play at least Metal Slug 2 with MVSPSP. You can also easily bootleg the whole thing if you have custom firmware. I already have the PS2 version, so I figured why should I have to buy the same damn thing again? (especially since I don't even have a working UMD drive).

I have it for PSP, and for quite a while it was pretty uncommon. Looked like it had a second pressing a year ago.
