    Trash:
Mega Man, any of them. I like the music from the Snake Man level in 3, but only on the NES and even then not enough to actually play the thing.

Vectorman. It's so awkward to shoot at things uphill. Lots of jump + shoot + jump + shoot action. Reminds me of Mega Man.

Gran Turismo. All of them. It's not fun driving, it's work.

Metal Gear Solid. All of them. If I wanted to watch a movie, I'd watch a movie.

Ecco the Dolphin, Comix Zone, and Eternal Champions. Really just never "got" them I guess.

    Treasure:
Fatal Fury 2 on the Genesis. I almost like it better than the original. It's not as flashy but I've had some seriously good times with it.

SF2: SCE. Again, really good times. Really solid port. 6 face buttons.

Sonic CD. The best Sonic game, IMO.

Knuckles Chaotix. Needed Sonic in it but otherwise pretty good. Reminds me of Sonic CD.

Cosmic Carnage. It's no SF2 but still fun to play and the armor breaking was cool as hell at back in the day.

    Trash:
Some RPG's can get boring after a while, like a lot of the newer Final Fantasys.

I actually have qualms about putting Halo here because it's actually a lot more fun in multiplayer, but the singleplayer gets boring after you beat it on easy mode. The game's solid, but the lack of singleplayer replay value kills it. The first in the series is excusable for being a launch title, but like 2 games after it's just stupid.

Enter the Matrix - bad Max Payne ripoff.

    Treasure:

    Halo 1 multiplayer

    Turok 2: Seeds of Evil

    Mortal Kombat series

Some modern FPS's, like Unreal II and Jedi Academy.

I am sick of that shit too.

Look, it's all good to appreciate or be interested in other cultures to expand your horizons, I myself am interested in learning about Japanese culture and folklore to further understand the cultural references in games like Super Mario 3, but that doesn't mean you have to run around in a karate gi and wooden shoes with anime scrolls and samurai swords on your wall and watch subbed anime 23 hours a day between eating your sushi made by chinese immigrants and shouting incoherent broken Japanese phrases in high pitched voices with your eyelids going upward (somehow) while wearing a fucking hat with bunny ears or frog eyes, amirite?

Do you also prefer American style arcade joysticks/buttons over Japanese style cherry sticks and convex buttons? if so, we are so going to be best e-friends.
Thank God someone spoke out against being racist against any country that's not Japan like I just did. It's really no better than wearing a white ghost suit, lighting fire to crosses, and beating up non-White people, and it also makes no difference whether you beat up black people in the physical world or randomly whine about anything that's not Japanese on an internet forum while jerking off to hentai. I would really love if the internet was a community where more people could just share their interests more than just spam about how Naruto is the greatest thing ever made while Halo sucks, when really Naruto and Halo suck equally.
And I don't use arcade sticks a lot, so I can't really answer your question.

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

by mentioning Space Invaders, JamesDude reminded me of another trash:

    DONKEY KONG!

not the SNES "Country" games, which I liked (especially the first, say what you will, the game is fun dammit!), but the original arcade and its shitty console ports as well.

WHY DOES ANYONE LIKE THAT GAME!? YOU HAD PAC MAN! IT'S SO MUCH BETTER!

Donkey Kong has like 4 levels and they all suck and are way too rigidly structured (all about memorizing patterns...lame...at least you can play Pac Man and pretend there aren't patterns, there's no getting around it in Donkey Kong)

The original Mario Bros was a riotously fun and furious game, in some ways you could call it the first "smash bros" game, but the original Donkey Kong is an assburger with shitsauce.

Oh, and about Space Invaders, yeah, it's kind of boring, I only like it because it was one of the first video games I ever played BITD on my dad's work computer. I enjoy it for about 1 round and I'm done. Now the new version for the iPhone is fucking amazing, it actually generates levels based on songs on your phone!

I know right! I'm sick of this reverse racism!

(does anyone else feel like "reverse racism" sounds like a wrestling move?)

I didn't really think of it as reverse racism because it's still very much racism.

Have you played the GameBoy version? It's much expanded and with a lot more variety.

I think it's held up pretty well, I like the fact that had the 2-player simultaneous feature as well. (great co-op or head to head depending on how you look at it)

    Trash:
Contra III: The Alien Wars. I had fun with all the other classic Contras (not counting Contra Force), except this one. The first stage was okay, and a couple of the music tracks, but the difficulty felt off compared to the rest and there wasn't anything catchy about it for me, even with multiple playthroughs.

    Final Fantasy.
Painfully. Slow. It's much slower than the first Dragon Quest, even though it came out later. Final Fantasy III is quite similar but with a speed that's reasonable and not teeth-grindingly sluggish so I recommend playing that instead.

Battletoads. I liked the first two stages, but didn't have any fun with the rest of it and the final boss was a slap in the face as it was pathetically easy compared to the rest of the game. Not to mention Clinger Winger being broken in 2-player. I was quite fond of Battletoads and Double Dragon(SNES), though.

Shining Force. Not really that bad... but it's a bit slow and the AI is pretty terrible and unchallenging, so I prefer Shining Force II over it instead. Just couldn't ever bring myself to finish it, sadly.

    Treasure:
Sonic Heroes. I didn't really find it that bad, though it wasn't as good as Sonic Adventure 2, and I had fun with it at least(Rail Canyon/Bullet Station can go to hell though). I didn't really mind going through the game with 4 teams, though I do wish there was greater variety with them than Easy/Normal/Hard/Missions. Shadow the Hedgehog on the other hand... I agree with the majority on that one.

Sword of Mana. Quite easy to breeze through with worthless partner AI, but... I still liked it. Still had a good story, looked nice, nice music themes, okay sets of quests... doing a low-level game helped alleviate some of it's problems for me.

Sudeki. Noticably rushed, short, and not too difficult, but I quite enjoyed the battle system, as the FPS characters anyway. Everyone having a different accent was also so bad it's good, along with other scenes such as the god Tom Baker personally enlightening the catgirl tribal warrior(Buki) that technology isn't evil and godless in a single scene.

This is the abridged version, I'll write more when I get home from class today.

    Trash:
    Ninja Turtles 2 for NES.
Any (regular) Pokemon game besides Red or Blue
    Blaster Master
Sonic 1 and 2 for Game Gear. Woof.
Any Sega produce football and hockey game after Joe Montana Football and Mario Lemieux Hockey.
RPG's that are too hard and don't even help you out at all.
King of Fighters and other assorted fanboy ass-fighting fighting games.
    Gunsmoke
Space Shooters where you die in just one hit (WTF, if you're supposed to be the best spaceship evar, how the F*** can you die in one hit!)
The end of every level of Donkey Kong Country 2 (that damn dancing is annoying as balls)
LJN Games (Especially NFL and MLB)
Great shooters destroyed by Halo fanboyism
    Too many guitar hero games

    Treasure:
    Pokemon Trading Card Game
Mario Golf (GBC, omg best hand held golf game ever possibly)
    Mega Man Legends
    Madden 2004 for PS2
    Danny Sullivan Indy Heat (NES)
    NCAA 07 Football for PSP
Tecmo Super Bowl III: Final Edition
    Sunset Riders
    T2: The Arcade Game
    Desert Demolition
    Dirt

I could have sworn the Atari 2600 version had a 2-player mode... (maybe it was just dual ships I was thinking of)

And yeah, the N64 version had 2-player for sure, almost the identical game was also on PSX and PC, not sure about multiplayer for those, but I'd assume it at least for PSX.

The original Space Invaders was the first major arcade game in Japan. It even predates Pac Man. Upon its release it created a shortage in 100 yen coins. Unless otherwise specified, when you say "Space Invaders," you're talking about the arcade version. Oh, and the original arcade was definitely not 2 player.
