The money shots begin at 2 minutes in. This level of awesomeness was not rivaled until Segagaga's end boss gauntlet years later.
That's probably one of my favorite ones.

Soul Edge/Blade did indeed have an amazing intro. I find that if the music is awesome, it really, REALLY helps how much I like it. Dialog bores me.

yeah, that one did a good job of capturing the essence of the TV show, but the Turtles in Time one took it a step further and made an intro that was almost self aware of how well known the franchise was. It's like "HOLY FUCKING TURTLES, LOOK!"
Yeah its good thing I never saw that one in the arcade at the time or I may have shit my pants.

That is because it's the 32X version. Neither of the 16-Bit versions had the intro.

Does your video card not support full screen? It's just a little box with black bars around all sides.

Edit: Nevermind, you uploaded it in a 16:9 ratio with black bars on the side for some reason. I edited your post for you to enable Widescreen.

I don't play old stuff for nostalgia, I play old stuff because the games are better.

Heh, I realized the ST intro for Starglider has an odd similarity to that:

Edit: that's just a comment, not one of my favorite attract sequences

Now these on the other hand, are awsome:

And come to think of it th eoriginal Silpheed has a pretty great intro sequence as well (PC8801 is the true original, but I really like the EGA DOS with MT-32 rendition)

The first thing I thought of when I saw the threat title was Daytona, and sure enough it was in the first post. ROOOOLLLLLLLLLIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTT! !!!!

I really loved those light, breezy rock soundtracks SEGA pumped into the arcades in the nineties with games like Daytona, SEGA Rally, Virtua Fighter et al.

For non-arcade games, somehow the one that sticks out most to me is the opening for Blaster Master on the NES. Makes it look so epic, and the music is boss:

"Enduro" is a symbolic journey through life via the media of a race.
