This is why I said he blew he didn't mention Bloodlines at all. But he actually reviewed Genesis games before. IDK if he is gonna pass on Bloodlines or not but I do know that he didn't bother to review Rambo III for the Genesis which was much better than the crappy NES version.

he says very specifically in the 3rd video that he skipped SOTN because he had an N64 instead of a Playstation and he was reviewing games from his childhood. He'll probably give it a mention in the 4th or 5th (if there is a 5th) installment where he goes over games that weren't from his childhood.

He had a Genesis during his childhood though. Him not even mentioning it and how he has done alot of other reviews makes it seems like he is gonna simply pass on it.

Here is my opinion which can be regarded as fact:

Castlevania IV is the 2nd best "real" Castlevania game there is, period. It is much better than Bloodlines. That isn't to say that Bloodlines isn't good... it's fantastic, but Castlevania IV is better. The only better "real" Castlvania is Dracula X on the PC Engine CD and ONLY the PC Engine CD (or Duo or whatever), not the crappy PSP incarnation. However at least the PSP will show you what you missed years and years ago on its tiny, pathetic screen... or you can hook it up to your TV and have a teeny tiny window with Dracula X in it, still shitty compared to the real thing. Anyway, that one is best simply because of how varied it is, what you can do, the smooth control and shitloads of hidden stuff. Let's not forget the great music and animation! It also has, by far, the best artwork in any real Castlevania game. Dracula X on the SNES is pathetic, only worth playing to laugh at in comparison. Only poor people would consider it a worthy game. Poor people suck. The only thing I do not like about Castlevania 4 are some of the enemy designs and graphics. They are very weak and some of the colors were chosen very poorly. The skull heads stacked on each other, for instance, don't look like anything at all. It wasn't until Dracula X on the PCE that I even knew they were animal skulls. That's how bad the graphics in the previous games were.

Bloodlines is a great game, far better than SNES Dracula X (faaaaaaar better), but not as good as Castlavania 4. However I do feel that Bloodlines is better than Castlavania 1 and 2. Maybe it should be tied for part 3. I like part 3 but I don't care much for some of the extra characters you must use. Plus, the control is stiff as hell since it is an NES game.

The Angry Videogame Nerd loves Nintendo. It's what he grew up with. He honestly doesn't know any better. I don't blame him at all for not mentioning Bloodlines. I would like to see him expand beyond the NES, though. NES games are kind of getting old in his reviews when there is sooooo much other stuff out there that is more interesting to talk about.

no he didn't, all he talks about is how he was Nintendo-only until the 128-bit era. He probably didn't actually own a Genesis until a few weeks before making the 32X and Sega CD slam videos.

On that note, can anyone tell me what the best PC and Mac emulators for playing Dracula X for PC Engine/Turbografx 16 are? I just downloaded the ISO but I don't know which emulator to use (and if there even is one for mac). I was originally just going to play it on PSP, but you have to unlock it in gameplay, which is gay, and I don't feel like doing. Seriously, whatever happened to unlocking crap with a cheat code like the good ol days?

You could always import someone's Dracula X game data save file to unlock it.

    http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/psp/save/938141.html

The second one is what you would want.

I figured you could do that, but didn't really know where to look.

Don't waste your time with the polygonal remake of Dracula X on the PSP. It is ugly as all sin.

Aren't you able to unlock the original game or something? I thought there was some high-profile unlockable 2D game included as well, I suppose I just assumed it would be the original PC Engine game.

yeah, it's a Castlevania fanboy's dream come true. It should've gotten a PS2 release IMO. I still prefer Super Castlevania IV, but I haven't played the others enough to fully justify that call.

17days, if you wanna emulate the PC Engine, go here: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...kpG9owvxTY__IA

Now Magic engine will only let you play for five minutes unregistered, but as I'm sure you know, there are ways around that.
