What games do you love that most people would consider bad or mediocre?

after recieving a perfect score in its review ive seen some pretty hard stb bashing on sega 16

I like Sonic 3D blast a good deal. Control is a little tricky and speed may not seem to match for a sonic game, but fun. (I like it more than Chaotix for sure)

3d blast is alot better than most people imply but i think its due to the high standards set by the first 4 sonic games its the super mario bros 2, castlevania 2, zelda 2 of the franchise it just happens to not be the second release, so im not sure it belongs on this thread its just widely shunned due to its wide right turn in terms of gameplay.

Metal Storm is definitely one of the best NES games out there. I miss it, maybe I should get it some of these days.

Sure the game controls a bit stiff but its actually quite fun in the long run.

Aside from the occasional slowdown Jurassic Park is a pretty fun game. Hooray for "killing" dinosaurs!

It has nothing to do with high standards and everything to do with the game being mediocre. Get rid of the flickies and you would have a much better game than the tedious "treasure" hunt.

Apolloboy, soiling the good name of MetalStorm is one thing, but soiling the greatness that is Ranger-X is another. This so called "Critic" must be removed from the face of the internet once and for all.

Ranger-X is a damn fun game. I also enjoyed Chiki Chiki Boys, Pink Goes To Hollywood, General Chaos and Puggsy as well.

Ecco Jr. is a fun little game. It's a definite downgrade after the Godly predecessors, but the visuals and music are nice and it's actually quite involved for a Sega Club title. I found it for about 5 bucks and there's very little reason not to recommend it at that price, particularly if you're a fan of the first two titles.
