Default Playing Genesis on a PICO?

I have had this thing kicking around for about a week with only one game on it. Here adn there I have red that it's mostly compatible with Genesis carts, but then again it isn't. Obviously they don't fit, but would a cart adapter be a viable idea?

Probably a dumb line of questions, so id there a link to a page that it's been proven or disproven to be a Genesis in a Pico shell??

Comments welcome! 'Cause if it *is* compatible I'll make a cart adapter and play Menacer games with a tablet

Not possible since the Pico lacks both the Z80 and YM2612.

Things will not work due to some other architectural differences aswell.

I figured as much, but the Pico is a neat little system. I love it how it comes up with the SEGA logo on the splash screen (if you can call it that when the thing boots up).

This system needs some homebrew. Maybe a shooter or something like the 5200 Buck Rogers game.

So has any homebrew been done for this system? Any at all?

how does the cart port compare to the MD? If they're the same, you can do homebrew with something like the MD-Pro or Neo Myth. If not, you'd need to make a custom cart by hand, or use an emulator rather than the real system.

Custom cart, definitely, the connector is one sided, not two like the stabdard Genny cart.

I managed to find very GOOD information now, and it is VERY well understood.

Very nice information. I also think the pinout is similar to the MD, even though the connector is not even close.

    Nice!!

The PICO might run MD games, if it's one of the later revisions with the 315-6123 system-on-chip, since this one is a complete MD inside it. You may not be able to control them..
