    1. Joe Montana Football (the original one)
    2. Madden 93
    3. Mutant League Football
    4. Tecmo Super Bowl
    5. I don't have a fifth...

Maybe it's because it's so easy to score, but I really enjoy the original Joe Montana Football. Very arcadey, but a lot of fun to play.

    1. Sensible Soccer
    2. Tecmo Cup Football (dig the RPG footy game)
    3. ISS Deluxe
    4. Premier Manager '97
    5. FIFA '95

I did try that John Madden Football game once but it wasn't really a football game at all; it was more like rugby, except that the players wore crash helmets and they could throw the ball forwards.

I don't like Sports titles usually but I do own Mutant League Football. Besides having a solid football engine, I love being able to kill your opponents through the nasty audibles. Classic stuff.

We have like a billion of these threads. I like Bill Walsh, believe it or not. Super High Impact sucks! They don't even have the field right!
Sega-16's Resident Sports Authority. Chief Heckler of the Midwest.

    Next up on the tee:
    Tecmo Super Bowl III
    Bass Masters Classic

Off topic by only a bit: Why has no company ever released a CFL football game for any system, Genesis or otherwise? I mean we have had every derivitive of American football and European soccer games, including Arena League for PS2, so why not CFL? I am not from Canada, but really appreciate the different rules and teams.
    It is finished!

The following greats get a lot of play time...

    Madden '93
    Madden '95
    Madden '97
    Bill Walsh '94
    Bill Walsh '95
    Tecmo Super Bowl
    Joe Montana NFL '94
    College Football USA '97

Sure they're all football games but each game has it's own 'feel' or atmosphere about it and the Genesis will always be THE sports console for me (along with shooters and the Sonics). Football games, along with the NHL series are so awesome on the Genesis. 16-bit Sega sports games along with the Genesis control pad are a joy to play.

This afternoon I did something different. While working out I had the Genesis do a Demo game of New Orleans vs. Indianapolis on Madden '93 (the Saints beat the Colts 24-17) and a Demo of Bill Walsh '95 Arizona vs. Michigan (Michigan slaughtered Arizona 45-16).
